Hair removal is not one-size-fits-all. Waxing providers may work with one or more techniques; ask your chosen professional what they offer for your service and skin type.
Applied in a thin layer and removed with paper or fabric strips. Often used on larger body areas, such as legs, arms, chest, abdomen and back. It is efficient on broad, flatter sections; sensitive skin may need a different approach.
Common areas: legs, arms, chest and back
Applied warm and allowed to set before being lifted without a cloth strip. Frequently selected for smaller, curved or sensitive areas, such as the bikini line, Brazilian area, underarms and facial hair.
Common areas: bikini, Brazilian, underarms and face
A separate hair-removal technique using a sugar-based paste rather than conventional wax. It is commonly removed in the direction of hair growth. Some trained providers offer it for arms, legs, underarms, bikini areas and more.
Common areas: arms, legs, underarms and bikini
Sugaring is not a type of wax. No method is irritation-free or appropriate for every client. Not every participating provider offers all three methods.
Results often last about 3–4 weeks, with many clients scheduling another appointment in 4–6 weeks. Timing varies by hair growth and treatment area.
